Amity servers are safe after patching servers for the POODLE bug

A new security threat to web servers worldwide has recently been discovered. It’s called POODLE and is a security flaw in SSLv3 commonly used to secure encryption between users computers and websites when using https:// connections. Encryption is necessary with eCommerce sites or any other site that passes sensitive data from a user to the website such as a login form. https:// is denoted by the the padlock symbol in the address bar.

Well, good news, we have already patched all our web and mail servers so we are not open to the vulnerability anymore. We have disabled the use of SSLv3 and use another secure protocol.

Just another advantage of being hosted with Amity 😉
