How Can I Download My Own Backups?

Every client has a "CPanel Account" which is a convenient interface where you can manage your email accounts, databases, files and backups. If you do not know your CPanel account access please contact us and we can send it to you.

Creating your own backups using Cpanel is a manual process. You will need to log in to your CPanel account and click on Backups to download your backup files.

For detailed instruction please see the CPanel documentation at http://www.cpanel.net/support/docs/11/cpanel/files_backups.html .

Note: every user has a Disk Space limit. We set this depending on your website and email requirements. You can view your Disk Space Usage in the Stats box on the left hand side of your CPanel account. Creating a backup will require extra disk space to store this backup file. It is possible that your account will not have enough disk space to store this backup on. Therefore if you do want to manage your own backups and do not have enough space please contact us to discuss increasing your disk quote to allow you to manage your own backups. Alternatively you may be happy to rely on our primary and secondary backup systems. We can easily forward you your backed up data from our secondary backups on site as an alternative.
